Phir Hera Pheri is a 2003 Indian Hindi action comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and Mohit Suri, starring Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. It is the second installment in the Hera Pheri series, after the 2000 blockbuster Humse Hai Liife. The first-look poster of Phir Hera Pheri was released on December 2002 and on 7 January 2003 it released worldwide. On 24 January 2013, The Times of India reported that it would release on DVD with some new footage as a 20th anniversary edition. The site claimed a "somewhat miffed" Priyadarshan said, "I can understand the excitement around it [the film's re-release], but the DVD version of the film will be called Phir Hera Pheri - 20 Years Later. It will have some additional footage, which is not a new version. In fact, I am against releasing a new version of any of my films. I've not seen the new footage and so far nobody has approached me regarding it." Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty reunite in this blockbuster comedy about two idiots and their adventures in Mumbai. Akshay, who has made a career out of playing the comic-sidekick in films like Deewana and Garam Masala, and Suniel who has played a comedic hero in films like Main Hoon Na, Golmaal - O Golmaal and Fidaa, play loosely connected characters whose friendship goes through various ups and downs. Widower Ram Bahadur Vishwakarma is an overworked taxi driver in Mumbai. He spends most of his time taking care of his three daughters, while he is often short on cash to take care of them. He works for a cab company owned by Mr. Joshi () who is extremely mean and also doesn't give his drivers time off. Ram Bahadur's brother, Bhairu Vishwakarma, has given up on life and is working as a door-to-door salesman. Ram Bahadur needs to take care of his daughters until he can find a job that will take care of them too. He is now desperate to find work. Ram Bahadur has an old friend, Guddi (Suniel Shetty), who lives in Panchgani, a small village near Pune where he tills land with his fellow villagers. They are frequently visited by various women who are in love with Guddi. These women are mostly newly weds who have come to Panchgani to save their marriages through a few days of romance with Guddi. Ram Bahadur is introduced to a woman named Veena Pradhan at Panchgani, who works in finance. She is also one of the women who escaped from her abusive husband by moving to Panchgani, which yields hilarious results. The couple sets off for Mumbai when Ram Bahadur gets a job as an equity agent for Mr. Joshi's cab company, only to discover that the job is making no money at all and he needs to find real work. cfa1e77820
