Solutions for Lds Families: Overcoming Challenges with Gospel Principles and Support Groups



The LJD Jewish Family & Community Services (JFCS) provides quality social and community services across the life spectrum to enhance the lives of children, adults, seniors and families coping with challenges that arise throughout the lifecycle. Guided by Jewish values, with a rich tradition of over 100 years, our services are available to ALL in the Northeast Florida Community.




Solutions for Lds Families



Programs include direct client services, emergency assistance, counseling, adoption assistance for birth mothers and families, child safety and prevention support, senior services, education and outreach, Jewish Healing Network, dropout prevention for middle school students, and much more.


Through all we do, we endeavor to keep families together and safe. Our core shelter model began as a grassroots, interfaith effort that grew into 6,000 congregations and other organizations hosting families at a third of the traditional shelter cost. We are a secular organization that engages local communities and mobilizes 200,000 volunteers every year to offer hospitality and community in a trauma-informed environment.


"We expect many more LDS families will be able to use this model to adopt" because it will broaden the options for prospective adoptive parents, said David McConkie, the LDS Family Services group manager for Services for Children.

Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) empowers and assists Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education.


Gerould's Healthcare Center offers independent living solutions to provide you with accessibility, mobility and safety so you can live at home longer. From ramps to stairlifts and everything in between, we have the home modifications you need to age in place.


"This is quite a big deal," McConkie said. "Our focus has really been to help more adoptive families create more opportunities, and the best way we could do that was to expose them to people that want to place a baby for adoption. That exposure is everything."


Total Family Solutions provides high quality mental health and behavioral services throughout New Jersey; we offer intensive in community and outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and their families who reside in the tri state area. Services are individually developed to meet the unique needs of each situation. Therapy is short term and solution focused, utilizing a strength-based approach. Total Family Solutions corporate headquarters is located in Voorhees, NJ. Outpatient locations are in West Orange, Vineland, Voorhees and Avenel, NJ.


Intensive In-Community Services are provided by NJ licensed clinicians and are designed to assist children and families with mental health and behavioral health challenges, these services may include caregivers and other family members. Intensive In Community Services are short term, flexible and are provided in the home or community in accordance with an individual Plan of Care identifying both strengths and needs.

NVFS offers a variety of programs that provide individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to build brighter futures for themselves, for their families and for the Northern Virginia community. A parent with marketable job skills, and sometimes simply the ability to travel to a higher-paying job, has the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty within their family.
